I have always viewed gastronomy as a balance between art and quality: on the plate, in the service, and in the guest experience. My dedication and professional approach were shaped by several years spent in Germany, where I had the honor of managing the restaurant of a 4-star superior hotel. Yet I longed for home – and brought with me the spirit that has defined all our work ever since.
I believe there is a demand in Hungary for truly outstanding quality hospitality – be it equipment rental, catering, or full-service event organization. I started my business in 2016 with equipment rental, in the garage of our family home. We quickly outgrew the space, then built our own catering kitchen, which opened new horizons for our services. We consider the birth of Az Udvar, our own event venue, a significant milestone, where we can demonstrate what friendly, direct, yet professional hospitality means to us.
Today, Evelin Barna’s fifteen years of experience also strengthens our team. Our shared philosophy, “underpromise, overdeliver,” is not just a working method for us, but a creed – which every partner and guest can experience, from the first consultation to the joy of returning. We offer not just equipment, food, and drinks, but also atmosphere, attention, and professional support for every moment.
Uniqueness is our mission
We know that no two events are alike: every event has different needs, styles, and atmospheres. Our team always works to bring ideas to life – whether it’s about the menu, atmosphere, or theme. We set up our catering kitchen even where others would not undertake it, and we provide perfectly set tables for up to a thousand guests.
We are partners, not "template caterers"
We provide our wide range of services professionally, yet always personally. We accompany the success of every event: from menu compilation and discussing food intolerances to selecting table skirts and place settings. Our service is flexible, and during our operations, we pay special attention to sustainability, ensuring quality and consciousness prevail in every detail.
International Flavors, Smooth Communication
Zsolt speaks German and Evelin speaks English at a native level, ensuring smooth international collaborations. However, the language of gastronomy is universal: English, Italian, or French cuisine, vegan dishes – exciting taste experiences are born from combining the latest culinary trends with traditional cuisine. A creative menu, tailored to each event, is guaranteed.
Az Udvar envelops you in experiences and timelessness
Az Udvar’s show kitchen, oven, and playground are all experiential elements that allow you to feel the event venue as your second home for a short time. The dishes served here are also made special by excellent ingredients, local flavors, and spices and edible flowers from our own garden.
Rural, yet Premium Atmosphere
The environment is at once calm and imbued with rural charm, yet the standard of experience, gastronomy, and hospitality is premium. This can be particularly appealing to those who wish to escape the city noise but do not want to compromise on the experience.
